Implementing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) 📚 at VOSIQ International School requires addressing several organizational issues. One of the most important tasks is to prepare teachers to work under the program.

We continue to hold training for elementary school teachers. On June 6-7, we arranged a workshop with Ms Maira Kunanbaeva, an IB PYP certified trainer and deputy director of Astana Garden School (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan). Having 25 years of experience in primary school education, she shared her knowledge and observations with our teachers.

During the training, the main themes and basic concepts of the programme were covered, such as:

🔸 Conceptual approach in education;

🔸 Transdisciplinary themes;

🔸 Learner Profile;

🔸 International mindedness, the role of language;

🔸 Approaches to learning (ATL).

The training also included a practical part. Teachers performed various tasks, discussed thematic issues, and shared professional opinions.
